1972 Sarah Coventry Americana Demi Parure Brooch and Clip Vintage | Earrings Red, White, and Blue Patriotic July 4 Set | Book Piece
No surprise with the bicentennial in 1976, this l972 Sarah Coventry Americana brooch and clip earring set would be a popular patriotic design for the 70s. It’s one of the sets designed by Delizza & Elster for Sarah Coventry. The brooch is featured on page 201 of Judith Miller’s book, Costume Jewelry. When the book was published in 2003, she listed the value as $50-55.
This demi parure is in excellent vintage condition and are from a woman who said they were from her Aunt’s estate and had been in storage for 35 years. The maker’s mark “@ SarahCov” in capital letters is found clearly on the brooch and earrings.
Measuring 2.5” in each direction, this Maltese cross designed brooch is made of gold-washed metal. The red, white, and blue cabochons are glass. The clip on earrings measure a little over1”. Both the brooch pin and earring clips are strong and hold securely.
